Allied health Care: Social Work Service

Social work is a university-qualified profession dedicated to assisting people to improve their lives with a focus on their personal and social wellbeing. Our social work services at Attention to Care, demonstrate high standards of social work practice through practitioner accreditation with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) – Australia’s professional representative body for social workers.  

Social workers, partner with people to address personal difficulties and structural barriers in their lives. They work with individuals, families, groups and communities. Social workers take the time needed to build relationships with people so that together they can consider all aspects of their situation, including their strengths and capacities, as well as the areas where they need help. Social workers are experts in complexity, and work to offer solutions, supports and pathways that make sense in the context of the person’s environment, preferences and abilities. 

Our social work services can be privately funded or funded under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Social workers celebrate differences and the social work role itself is incredibly diverse; our social work services can assist people with a range of supports, including (but not limited to):
